Fort Carson Officers Don't Expect Quick Return to Iraq

The Pentagon could be tempted to send Fort Carson's combat veterans back to Iraq as uprisings escalate although officers at the post say it won't happen soon. Almost all of the more than 12,000 Fort Carson troops who went to Iraq last year have returned, including nearly 10,000 who came home in recent weeks.

Coors May Add Fizz to Election ; Owens: Magnate Running for Senate

DENVER - Brewing magnate Pete Coors injected some yeast into Colorado's U.S. Senate race Wednesday, lending brandname cachet that has been desired by many in the GOP hierarchy. Coors, 57, who heads Coors Brewing Co., didn't make an announcement Wednesday. Word of his candidacy came from Gov. Bill Owens.
