Bush Greets Denver Before Afa ; President Strikes Confident Chord for Faithful Crowd

DENVER - Calling the war on Iraq "the work that history has set out for us," President Bush thrilled a crowd of 200 supporters at the Phipps Tennis Pavilion Tuesday, raising $2.2 million for the Republican Party in the process. In Colorado to speak at the Air Force Academy graduation today, the president also used the trip as an opportunity to host a $5,000- acouple fund-raiser for the Republican National Committee Victory 2004 fund.

Restaurants Filling Up Fast for Tonight

Even with Air Force Academy graduates and their families celebrating around the city today, there still are reservations available at some of Colorado Springs' finer restaurants. But there's a catch. For good food with minimal hassle, the best times to eat tonight are early or late.

Sheridan Clarifies Remarks

The Colorado Springs bishop who set off a national debate with a pastoral letter that mixed religion and politics says he was misinterpreted. Michael Sheridan, head of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, wrote in a May 1 letter that Catholics who vote for politicians who support abortion, euthanasia or stem-cell research should not receive Communion.
