DENVER - Colorado's top legislative leaders issued a challenge in opening the 2008 legislative session Wednesday, urging colleagues to take actions that will affect the state's residents for decades to come. Senate President Peter Groff and House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, both Denver Democrats, asked Republicans and Democrats to put aside bickering in an election year in order to make changes in health care, transportation and education.
