Air Traffic Rise Biggest in 8 Years

Summary


A surge of holiday travel boosted passenger traffic last year at the Colorado Springs Airport to its biggest annual increase in eight years.

Passenger numbers in 2004 were up 2.3 percent from the previous year to 1.03 million, compared with a 5.3 percent drop in 2003 from 2002. Passenger levels have declined every year since peaking in 1996, except for a 0.2 percent increase in 2002.
