Sales at The Shops at Briargate during its first six months have exceeded projections and are significantly higher than the $300-a- squarefoot annual sales average for regional malls, according to the mall's owners.

Poag & McEwen President Terry McEwen declined to disclose sales figures but said sales during the mall's August opening were "outstanding. Three of our retailers had their best grand opening in history at any location. Sales have continued to build since then."
