Increased sales and profits over the summer are producing a loud buzz in the state's small-business community.

More than half the 350 small-business owners surveyed in the June- through-August Colorado Small-Business Conditions Report said they had "good" sales. That was an increase of 13 percent from the May report. And one-third of the owners indicated they had "good" profits, a 12 percent increase from the Marchthrough-May reporting period.
