Cheerful Staff Produces Fine Italian Food at La Dolce Vita

Summary


We'd been wanting to have dinner at La Dolce Vita, 361 Village Square Lane in Castle Pines, for ages and finally got the chance. We had been at a holiday party in Denver one Friday evening and it seemed like a great idea to stop at the restaurant on the way home. Except that we had stayed at the party a little longer than expected and it was near 10 p.m. when we pulled up to the eatery.

We anticipated being turned away, but instead we were greeted as if it were 7 p.m. with a warm welcome. Once inside the place, you forget that you have parked in front of a strip mall. It's like walking into an Italian patio garden somewhere in Sicily. Our waiter, Sam Dahabrah, could not have been more cheerful. At first we thought he must be the owner, he was so eager to make us comfy. Instead we learned he had been a waiter there for several years.
