The R.J. Montgomery New Hope Center isn't the Hilton, and it doesn't strive to be. It's the local homeless shelter and the only place in town for men, women and children who need emergency overnight housing.
"This is where the rubber meets the road - the first stop for people to get out of homelessness. It's a place for people who have nowhere else to go to be safe and get back on their feet," said Maj.
