There's obviously an element of politics in the sudden interest the Legislature's Democrats are taking in contracting problems at state agencies, which they demonstrated Wednesday by creating a Senate Select Committee on Accountability to investigate a series of information technology glitches.
If they can lay these problems at the feet of a Republican governor, or the former Republican majority, they'll score political points.
