Every time defenseman Brandon Straub pulls on his black-and-gold jersey, he can't believe his dream of playing for Colorado College came true.

A local kid whose parents grew up in Colorado Springs, Straub remembers lying awake after watching a Tigers game at the old Broadmoor World Arena, hoping he might play there one day. He recalls the time he and his younger brother, Brian, followed CC players from Honnen Ice Arena to Benjamin's, a campus dining hall, to eat with them.
