Most political movements and public policies have their sunny sides and dark sides, trade offs often being necessary in the real world, so it's imperative that Americans try their best to subject everything to hard-headed analysis. Unfortunately, the environmental movement still basks in the glow of unquestioned praise, especially by a cheerleading national news media, so some of the ills that have occurred as the result of environmentalist policies have gone unnoticed and unchecked.

But that could be changing.
