It was there, she said, because while she was slicing berries for the shortcakes she was going to demonstrate on the TV show, the knife slipped from her hand and gashed her leg. The bleeding wouldn't stop, but instead of heading to the ER, she wrapped it with a large bandage and topped it with the paper towel.
