Summary


The Salvation Army is packed to the rafters with donations for people burned out of their homes last week in a fire that destroyed the Castle West Apartments.

The charity is one of the major organizations helping victims of the fire, along with the American Red Cross Pikes Peak Chapter and some area churches. Eric Wilkerson, who oversees The Salvation Army's three thrift stores in Colorado Springs, said he's running out of space for the clothing, appliances, furniture and other items people are donating to help the victims.
