WHERE: A gently rising alpine valley on the shoulder of Quandary Peak in Summit County hides great snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.
TO GET THERE: Head north on Highway 9. From the top of Hoosier Pass, drive about two miles down the north side. Turn left onto Blue Lakes Drive (County Road 850) just after the last big switchback in the road. Almost immediately, look for County Road 851 on the right.
