Evidence against a Colorado Springs man accused of gunning down a police officer last year will be presented in May, a judge ruled Friday, over the objections of defense attorneys who wanted it delayed until the summer.

Marco Reiner Lee, 25, is accused in the shooting death of officer Kenneth Jordan during a traffic stop Dec. 4. He has been charged with first-degree murder and 10 other felonies. If convicted of first-degree murder, he could face the death penalty.
