A homeless man who was attacked while he slept on playground equipment in a park in mid-September died of his injuries Thursday, according to Colorado Springs Police.
An autopsy by the El Paso County Coroner's Office determined John Carlos Martinez, 47, died of blunt force trauma. His death has been ruled the 22nd homicide in Colorado Springs this year. Through the same time last year, there were 17 homicides in the city.See the full content of this document
