With Google News Alert you can keep track of an emerging news story, find out what a business competitor might be doing or stay current with your favorite sports team, all by remote control. Go to the Google News site, click on "news alerts" on the left side of the page and fill out the request form with the keywords you want tracked, your e-mail address and how often you want Google News to e- mail you with alerts -- as it happens, once a day or once a week.
