CLEVELAND - Clarence Joseph's Olympic dreams ended with a thud Friday night at the Cleveland State University Convocation Center, dashed by the favored Andre Dirrell 30-9 in the Olympic Box-offs.

When it was over, there was little Joseph could do but hold the ropes apart for Dirrell's exit from the ring. It was a polite gesture and also a respectful one -- Joseph was thoroughly beaten by the nation's topranked 165-pounder for the second time in little more than a week.
