Last week, I announced a reform package that will begin to alter Colorado's preschool through 12th-grade educational landscape. The proposals are both ambitious and realistic, and they represent a starting point we will build upon in 2008 and beyond.

I serve as Colorado's 41st governor largely because of the education I received from inspired teachers, starting in kindergarten and continuing through high school, college and law school.
