Ramtron Cfo Resigns 6 Months After Joining Company

Summary

Ramtron International Corp. announced Friday that Mark Kent resigned a week earlier as its chief financial officer after less than six months on the job. The announcement comes just days before the Colorado Springs-based company is scheduled to report third- quarter financial results.

Kent resigned "to pursue other opportunities," Ramtron told stockholders in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He will be replaced by Gery Richards, Ramtron's controller, while the company searches for a new CFO for the second time this year. Kent was hired in April to replace Eric Balzer, who was promoted from CFO to CEO in January.
