Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs will build its ninth thrift store in the region at the southwest corner of South Circle Drive and Janitell Road, opening it simultaneously next summer as the downtown store at Pikes Peak and Wahsatch avenues closes.

"We've been looking at that area for a number of years because there's no nonprofit thrift store in that part of town," said Melissa Lyby, Goodwill's spokeswoman.
