City Set to Raise Employees' Health Insurance Premiums

Colorado Springs is increasing employee premiums in health plans next year but offering incentives through wellness programs in an effort to rein in health care spending and also promote a healthy and more productive work force.

"Wellness is one of our key tools to try to accomplish cost savings," Mark Anderson, the city's risk manager, told the City Council on Monday.
