A suspected speeder who led law enforcement officers on a chase Thursday night was shot in the chest after he struck two police officers with his car, the Sheriff's Office reported Friday.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was listed in good condition Friday at Penrose Hospital, sheriff's spokesman Lt. Clif Northam said.
