Spencer Wren Jr. could be viewed as the quintessential tourist. Although he's ridden the Pikes Peak Cog Railway hundreds of times in the past few decades, the classic train excursion that ascends 7,700 in elevation, from Manitou Springs to the 14,110-foot summit of Pikes Peak, never fails to captivate him.
