A transit task force on Wednesday recommended that FrontRange Express get $6.3 million in state money for 16 new buses, giving the popular service a better chance to continue.
Funding for the bus service between Fountain and Denver was one of 50 projects statewide the task force recommended to receive money from Senate Bill 1, which sets aside about $66 million for transit projects during the next five years.
