If you are a procrastinator, a foot-dragger, a lollygagger, you have less than 24 hours to put off the switch to digital television.

After years of preparation and months of delay, between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Friday, the television airwaves will really, truly and finally go digital. All the major local television stations will switch off their analog transmitters, and anyone who does not have cable, satellite, a digital television or a digital converter box will be left out in the cold.
