22-Year-Old Man Killed in Crash On Interstate

Summary


A driver believed to have been distracted by a cell phone was killed Wednesday morning after slamming his car into the back of a slowing pick-up on Interstate 25 near Fort Carson.

Colorado State Troopers believe 22-year-old Daniel Woldtvedt was on his cell phone around 8 a.m. when his Subaru Legacy did not stop in time and rear-ended A Toyota Tacoma driven by 30-year-old Shawn Smith. A disabled vehicle on the interstate caused other vehicles to slow down, said Colorado State Patrol Trooper Heather Cobler said.
